"I love it," said Ashley of her job as a beautician. "You get to work with a lot of people on a personal level. You can also, I don't know, tell them what's wrong with them and how they look and they rarely get upset about it. It's cool and strange at the same time. I can tell someone that their hair style or fingernail color is all wrong, and they act like I'm giving them the secret to life or something.

"People look at me. They ask me to take pictures with them. I walk into a room and I get a lot of attention. It's a good thing." For a professional beautician, a lot of attention is a good thing.
